Instructors at Mini Movers Studio understand that children may have classes where focus and participation may be a challenge. However, if a student at any point poses a physical threat to another student (hitting, pushing, scratching etc..), or imposes too much of a negative distraction (i.e not following directions, running, using props without permission etc..), the instructor reserves the right to have the child sit out of the class or leave with a parent/guardian.
Bullying of any kind will not be tolerated and will result in the same consequences. Instructors intervene before these measures are taken, but the safety and well being of our students is our top priority.
If there are repeated offenses, withdrawal of the student from class may occur for the remainder of the session or year.
If your child will be missing class, please send an e-mail to minimoversstudio@gmail.com with your child’s name, their class, and the date of the class being missed.
Make Ups are allowed for missed classes. However, make ups and missed classes should only be utilized for illnesses and emergencies. Too many missed classes will disrupt your child’s dance class experience.

2 & 3 year Old Classes
Mini Movers Studio offers 6-8 week sessions in different themes.
4 & Up Classes
We offer two sessions, September-December and January-May. Summer classes are also offered in a shorter length session.
Why two sessions and not full year registration?
While we encourage student registration full year, we understand that some students may have other interests which may dominate certain seasons of the year. Having two sessions allows students & families more flexibilty in what they want to participate in and commit to. Desptite being broken into two sessions, our classes are progressive and teachers are able to modify classes to meet students where they are at.
At Mini Movers Studio we do not offer recitals, but instead offer end of session showings for our 4+ classes.
What is a MinI Movers Studio Showcase?
For the last class of every session, we allow parents and caregivers to our final class to see what we have been working on all session long. This will include a shortened version of class, demonstration of skills and any chreography students may have learned throughout the session.
Why don't you offer recitals?
While there is a benefit to recitals we have decided to not offer recitals for various reasons such as cost, having different locations, flexibilty for students & families, time commitment and so much more, but the main reason is age appropriateness and focus on technique.
While learning a choreography is fun (and something that we do!) when it is done with the sole purpose for a recital, it can take over a class time and be stressful for young students who aren't aren't developmentally ready to learn & memorize an entire dance. We prefer to spend class time developing skills and technique in a fun and engaging way and do choreography in shorter amounts. Our showcases are just as special, allowing familes an opprotunity to watch their dancers perform learned dances AND technique they have worked on throughout the year,
But what if my child wants more opportunities to perform outside of the studio class?
We encourage students ages 4 and up who want to perform to join Mini Movers Studio performance group! This group is additional class time and a seperate registration. Students must also be enrolled year long in a Mini Movers Studio class. Performance groups perform a few times throughout the year at local events and students work each week on learning choreography. For our older students, they will be expected to have choreogrpahy memorized.
